Wordsworth Donisthorpe (24 Maret 1847 – 30 Januari 1914) adalah seorang barister,^[1] anarkis individualis^[2] dan penemu, pionir sinematografi dan penggemar catur asal Inggris.

Kehidupan dan karier

Donisthorpe lahir di Leeds, pada 24 Maret 1847.^[3][4] Ayahnya adalah George E. Donisthorpe, yang juga merupakan seorang penemu;^[5] saudaranya, Horace Donisthorpe, adalah seorang mirmekologis. Ia belajar di Leeds Grammar School dan Trinity College, Cambridge.^[4] Donisthorpe menikahi Ann Maria Anderson pada 17 Desember 1873. Ia dan istrinya kemudian berpisah dan ia memiliki seorang putri dari Edith Georgina Fleming (yang ia sebut sebagai istri kedua) pada 1911.^[4]
