Vaksin HIV adalah vaksin hipotesis HIV, penyebab AIDS. Karena AIDS belum ada obatnya, pencarian vaksin merupakan bagian dari perlawanan terhadap penyakit ini.
Keadaan mendesak untuk penelitian vaksin HIV merupakan akibat dari kematian lebih dari 25 juta orang sejak tahun 1981 akibat dari AIDS.[1] Pada tahun 2002, AIDS menjadi akibat utama mortalitas karena infeksi di Afrika. Penelitian terus dilakukan, tetapi, setelah 20 tahun penelitian, HIV-1 tetap merupakan target vaksin yang sulit.
