Javier Botet López (lahir 30 Juli 1977) adalah aktor asal Spanyol, dikenal sebagai aktor makhluk berkat postur tubuhnya yang tinggi dan kurus serta jari-jarinya yang panjang akibat sindrom Marfan. Meskipun awalnya berkarier di Spanyol, sejak 2013 ia rutin tampil dalam Hollywoodfilm horor.
Pada usia lima tahun, ia didiagnosis mengalami sindrom Marfan.[2]Hiperlaksitas pada jaringan tubuh tertentu akibat kondisinya membuat Botet memiliki jari yang sangat panjang dan ramping serta tubuh tinggi kurus, dengan tinggi 6Â kaki 7Â inci (2,01Â m) dan berat 123 pon (56Â kg).[3]
Karier
Fisik unik Botet, ditambah minat pribadinya pada seni peran dan fantasi, akhirnya membuatnya terpilih dalam film karya Brian Yuzna, Beneath Still Waters (2005).[3] Dua tahun kemudian, ia memerankan tokoh Tristana Medeiros dalam film REC (2007) karya Jaume Balagueró dan Paco Plaza.[4]
Pada 7 Oktober 2019, Botet bersama aktris Maribel Verdú menerima penghargaan Mà quina del Temps (Inggris: Time Machinecode: en is deprecated ) dalam Festival Film Sitges 2019.[8] Penghargaan tahunan ini secara khusus diberikan kepada individu dari genre fantasi atas pencapaian luar biasa di bidangnya.[9]
