Erich Stephen Gruen (/ˈɡruːən/ GROO-ən, Jerman: [ˈɡʁuːən]; lahir 7 Mei 1935) adalah seorang klasikis dan sejarawan kuno Amerika Serikat.^[1] Ia menjadi Gladys Rehard Wood Professor of History and Classics di University of California, Berkeley, tempat ia mengajar sepanjang waktu penuh dari 1966 sampai 2008. Ia menjabat sebagai presiden American Philological Association pada 1992.
