Kategori tari Latin dalam kompetisi olahraga tari mancanegara terdiri dari cha-cha-cha, rumba, samba, paso doble, dan juga jive dari Amerika Serikat.[1][2] Tarian Latin Sosial (Latin Jalanan) termasuk salsa, mambo, merengue, rumba, bachata, bomba dan plena. Ada banyak tarian yang populer pada paruh pertama abad ke-20, tetapi sekarang hanya memiliki kepentingan sejarah.
