Stuart Alan Kauffman (lahir 28 September 1939) adalah seorang dokter medis, pakar biologi teoretikal dan peneliti sistem kompleks Amerika Serikat yang mempelajari asal-usul kehidupan di Bumi. Ia adalah profesor di Universitas Chicago, Universitas Pennsylvania, dan Universitas Calgary.
