Carl Winston Lumbly (lahir 14 Agustus 1951)^[2] adalah seorang aktor asal Amerika Serikat. Ia terkenal karena perannya dalam M.A.N.T.I.S. (1994–1997) yang menjadikannya pahlawan super kulit hitam pertama di televisi. Ia juga pernah berperan dalam Cagney & Lacey (1982–1988) dan Alias (2001–2006).

Ia juga memiliki peran dalam berbagai waralaba pahlawan super termasuk mengisi suara Martian Manhunter di DC Animated Universe (DCAU) dan memerankan M'yrnn J'onzz di Supergirl (2017–2019) yang berlatar Arrowverse. Sejak saat itu, ia memerankan Isaiah Bradley, prajurit super kulit hitam pertama di Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) yang dimulai dengan The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) dan Captain America: Brave New World (2025).

Kehidupan awal

Lumbly lahir dari keluarga imigran Jamaika di Minneapolis, Minnesota.^[3] Ia lulus dari SMA South Minneapolis dan Macalester College di dekat St. Paul.

Karier pertama Lumbly adalah sebagai jurnalis di Minnesota. Saat bertugas untuk sebuah cerita tentang teater lokakarya, ia berperan sebagai aktor. Ia bertahan di perusahaan improvisasi selama dua tahun dan kemudian pindah ke San Francisco di mana ia menemukan iklan surat kabar yang mencari "dua aktor kulit hitam untuk drama politik Afrika Selatan."
